The Cape Breton Island Hoppers Volkssport Club, Sydney, Nova Scotia is the host club for this years CVF Annual General Meeting and Convention 2010.
28, 29,30 and 31 May 2010.
Cape Breton Island has been mentioned in several travel magazines as one of the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world.
The island is Located in Atlantic (Eastern) Canada and is connected to mainland Nova Scotia by the Canso Causeway and the TransCanada Hwy,our modern airport has direct flights from Toronto CA and Halifax, NS.
The Island Hoppers would like to invite our volkssport friends from the AVA to join us for 4 fun filled days of Walking for Fun, Fitness and Friendship and then take in the beauty of our island along the famous Cabot Trail Hwy that encircles the northern highlands of the island or cruise amongst the beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes and take in the Fortress Louisbourg that was once the stronghold of the France in the “new world’ and is now the largest reconstructed authenticate fortress’s from the 1700 in North America. Cape Breton is blessed with a diverse culture of highland Scots, French Acadian, Irish and English immigrants and a very unique first Nations of Micmaq who have resided on the island for thousands of years.
