FLORIDA HISTORICAL TRAILS ASSOCIATION
The Florida Historic Trails Association (FHTA) was founded in 1970 to develop and sponsor historic
hiking trails for Scouting and other civic youth groups. The FHTA has information on the following trails
available:
Fort Clinch Historic Trail is a 16 mile hike visiting historic
Fernandina and Fort Clinch State Park.
Fort Clinch Environmental/Nature Trail is a 6 mile hike through a
variety of ecological habitats.
Osceola-Olustee Historic Trail offers a 22.4 mile and/or a 10.8 mile hike visiting
the Osceola-Olustee Battlefield Monument.
St. Augustine Historic Trail is an 8 mile hike visiting all major sites in historic St.
Augustine.
Ft. Matanzas Historic Trail is a 2 mile hike including a boat trip to Ft. Matanzas at the National
Monument and a nature hike.
Ft. Caroline Historic Trail
Ft. George Historic Trail
Tampa Historic Trail
