Saturday Morning, March 3-Hosted by the Mid-Florida Milers-Year-Round Trail
Start address: Pirates Cove Adventure Golf, located at the Crossroads shopping complex, SR 535, 1 block north of the SR 535/I-4 interchange (Exit 68).
Time: Register any time between 9:00 & 9:45 a.m.
Trail: Walk the 10 km route into Downtown Disney via the Saratoga Springs Vacation Villas. Pets are not allowed. Wheelchairs and strollers OK.
Distance: 10K (6 miles). A shorter 5K trail can be walked.
Cost: $3 for AVA/IVV Credit; Non-credit walkers can walk for free.
Directions: From Orlando go west (east from Tampa) on Interstate 4 and take Exit 68, Lake Buena Vista (SR 535). Turn north (right from Orlando, left from Tampa) on SR 535 (Apopka Vineland Rd) to the first traffic light. Turn right into the Crossroads Shopping Center. Pirate’s Cove is straight ahead.

The Happy Wanderers will host a group walk of their Daytona year-round trail. The 10K walk will start at City Island at 1:00 p.m. (Register at 12:30 p.m.) See directions below for start location.
Trail: This beautiful walk takes you across the Intracoastal Waterway and past the Historic Jackie Robinson Baseball Stadium where he made his first appearance as a major league ballplayer. Stroll along the restored downtown area and lovely Riverfront Park. Cross the new ISB high-rise bridge with tile mosaics of Florida wildlife. Wander down Main Street, home of the annual “Bikeweek” and “Biketoberfest” festivities. Meander through the marvelous new Oceanwalk complex with its great shops and restaurants. Your Daytona adventure ends as you stroll down the “World’s Most Famous Beach”! Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Pets are not allowed on the beach. A sidewalk on Atlantic Ave parallels the beach and may be used as an alternate route during high tide or for strollers and wheelchairs.
Directions: I-95, Exit 261 US 92 International Speedway Blvd. Go east on ISB to Beach St. Turn right onto Beach to Magnolia Ave. Turn left and cross the small bridge to end of street. Park in lot to your left.

Description: This is a 5 and 10 km walk. The sanctuary has been a place of beauty and tranquility for 70+ years and is in full bloom in February and March. The Carillion is played 2 times this afternoon at 1 and 3:00. See our brochure for more info.
Registration: Pre registration is for the $8 per person group rate to enter the park. Children (ages 5-12): $3; Children (under 5): Free. Walk registration is from 1000-1200 at the Bok Sanctuary grounds. Please provide your payment to MFM (Attn BOK Event), 2377 Roanoke, Lake Mary, FL 32746 by 26 Feb so we can mail you the tickets. You may also pay at any MFM walk up to then. The entrance fee is $10 at the gate on that day. Cost of the walk is $3 for credit; free for non-credit walkers.
Lunch: Walkers can dine at the Bok Sanctuary Restaurant. Delicious food with
the average price of $10.
Directions: From Orlando, take I-4 West; From Tampa, take I-4 East. Historic Bok Sanctuary is at 1151 Tower Blvd., Lake Wales, FL 33853 Proceed on I-4 to Exit 55. Take Exit 55 and proceed south (right) on U.S. Highway 27 for approximately 23 miles. Go two traffic lights past Eagle Ridge Mall. Turn left on Mountain Lake Cut Off Road. At the caution light, turn right (south) onto County Road 17 (also known as Scenic Highway). Proceed on CR 17 for 3/4 miles. Turn left (east) onto Burns Avenue (also known as County Road 17-A). Proceed on Burns Avenue for 1.3 miles. On your left you will see the main entrance sign to Bok Sanctuary. Turn left and proceed to the entrance gate. From Highway 60 East or West: Go to Lake Wales and proceed north on U.S. Highway 27. Turn right on Mountain Lake Cutoff Road. See instructions above.

Time: Register any time between 8:00 & 10:00 a.m. Plan so that you can finish by 1:00 p.m.
Trail: Join the Suncoast Sandpipers in a walk on Lido Key, with views of sugar sand beaches, sparkling gulf waters, and beautiful residences. The highlight of the circle (for the young at heart) will be the Circus Ring of Fame, a sidewalk dedicated to circus stars. Bronze plaques honor a selection of circus greats, with four circus masters added every year. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day: While there won’t be marching bands, walkers will be rewarded with mementos and treats such as beads, candy shamrocks, pot of gold stickers, and other Gaelic goodies. Everyone is encouraged to wear green. Prizes will be awarded to those who are best bedecked for the parade. Afterwards, everyone can retire to a sidewalk cafe or pub to raise a brew in an Irish toast!

Directions: From I-75 north or south take Exit 210, Fruitville Rd. Go west on Fruitville until end at Tamiami Trail, Rte 41. Turn left on Rte 41 a few short blocks to N. Gulfstream Ave. (Fl-789). Turn right on Gulfstream Ave., which immediately becomes John Ringling Blvd. Go over causeway, passing Bird Key. When you reach St. Armand’s Circle, follow traffic pattern halfway around circle and continue on John Ringling Blvd. toward the Gulf. Follow road as it bears left along the Gulf on Ben Franklin Dr. (no sign) to large parking lot on right and start at concession stand.
